Glazyhaze
Sonic (blue)
'SONIC' was written and recorded between North East Italy and London, produced, recorded and mixed by Paolo Canaglia (New Candys, Nuovo Testamento) and mastered by Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon). The album explores the complexity of love, narrating a journey of self-discovery and emotional contrasts. It is an ambitious and mature work, marked by a more personal sound and writing that embraces shoegaze, post-punk and alt rock sounds. The Venice band's new album is divided into two parts, with the first offering light and bright melodies and atmospheres, while the B-side delves into introspective and nocturnal tones, with a more intense emotional depth. The two sides, although so different, are closely connected and aim to represent not two opposing extremes, but complementary aspects of the same experience, like the sides of a coin. Glazyhaze formed in Venice in late 2021, influenced by shoegaze, dream pop and psychedelia, ranging from dark to dreamy and ethereal atmospheres.
