Tony Williams was not only one of the most original and influential drummers in the history of jazz, but a refined composer and a visionary leader. It is to this multifaceted figure that Roberto Gatto decided to dedicate his new project, commissioned by the Musica per Roma Foundation. Collaborator since the beginning and present in many albums are Alessandro Lanzoni (piano) and Gabriele Evangelista (double bass) and in 2015 with Avishai Cohen (double bass), Francesco Bearzatti (saxophones), and Doug Weiss (drums).
