Flesh
Firetower
An addictive set of alluring art-pop anthems. Switching from the boy/girl vocal attack of their debut, this album spotlights the passionate vocals of keyboardist Gabriella Zappia, giving The Flesh an amazing new sound in the process - pop punk ala Blondie or The Pretenders, with a goth streak running throughout - this is by far the bands most compelling work to date. "Firetower" was mixed by Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Book Of Knots, Beauty Pill).
