With this first album, Elastocat's visceral, energy packed rock lies somewhere between wacked-out crooner's ballads and scathing punk fury. Born of a cinematic vision, their songs based on authors' works (in English) conjure the poetic meanderings of Jim Jarmusch. Their music is at times Felix the Cat grinning at life's ups and downs, while at others it's a feral cat yowling at toxic, unbridled capitalism.
