Founded in 1991, DUO diagonal is one of the first professional tango ensembles of the new European tango renaissance. From the very beginning, both concert tango and danceable tango have been equally important focal points in the duo's repertoire. Through collaborations on stage shows with dancers from the Ballet Folklrico Nacional Buenos Aires and with tango musicians Alfredo Marcucci (Argentina/Belgium) and Luis Di Matteo (Uruguay), DUO diagonal has refined its tango style and ultimately developed it into its own unique language.
