Rue Des Chantiers

Nicolas and Florent moved into a flat on Rue des Chantiers while studying music, and this was to be the start of a musical collaboration marked by shared influences and a common musical culture that would see them through to the completion of this project. Accompanied by Damien Argentieri on piano and Cyril Drapé on double bass, the fraternal duo put together an original line-up, giving melody a fundamental place. Composed by the saxophonist, the light, lyrical themes revisit the music of such esteemed artists as Kenny Wheeler, Maurice Ravel and Shai Maestro. With its careful harmonies and improvisations, this album takes us into a refined, twilight atmosphere, carried by an inspired quartet.
