Hamilton de Holanda, who has been lauded as "the most virtuosic mandolinist in Brazil today" by All Music Guide and said to be "widely considered as the best Brazilian mandolin player" by Public Radios The World, returns with Brasilianos 2. The CDs 12 tracks are all composed by de Holanda and performed by the Hamilton de Holanda Quintet: Daniel Santiago on acoustic guitar, Gabriel Grossi on harmonica, Andre Vasconcellos on electric and acoustic bass, and Marcio Bahia on drums - the same stellar array of musicians who joined de Holanda on 2006s Brasilianos, which earned a Grammy nomination for "Best Instrumental Recording."
