The six-piece Coltrane Legacy was founded in 2017, on the 50th anniversary of Coltrane's death, by one of the most sought-after musicians on the Hungarian jazz scene, bassist Gyorgy Orban. The compositions, of course, start from the Coltrane tradition and continue to reflect it, carrying the abstract spirit and tools of our time, continuing the spiritual jazz tradition of today. The members of the band are outstanding personalities of the Hungarian jazz scene, their progressive way of thinking and their unique musicality make it possible for them to work together as a team for the fifth year in a row with unbroken creative enthusiasm.
