Back in 1984, Joe and I were turned loose in a state-of-the-art studio at SUNY Fredonia in western New York. Our engineer was the guy who ran the curriculum, so this is probably the best we were ever recorded. We overtracked a little bit, availed ourselves of a Steinway Grand in perfect tune, and tried to see how much noise we could make with the instruments we had.d the benchmark
