Circles, The
Still Here
One of the defining bands of the Mod Revival era, The Circles return with their brand-new single "Still Here", released on Detour Records. More than four decades after first emerging from the West Midlands, The Circles continue to prove that great songwriting never goes out of style. Following the success of their acclaimed Anthology double album, Still Here captures the band's trademark blend of driving guitars, memorable melodies and sharp, contemporary songwriting while looking firmly to the future rather than the past. Written by founding member Mick Walker and long-time guitarist Martin Ratcliffe, Still Here is a song about endurance, passion and refusing to fade quietly into the background, a message that perfectly reflects the band's own remarkable journey. The B-Side is a reworking of the soulful ballad "Dignity & Pride" in a more uptempo style than the original, reflecting how the band perform it in the live set. This release features Mick Walker and Martin Ratcliffe alongside newcomers Mark Owen on drums and Clive Witcomb on bass. The Circles remain as energetic and enthusiastic as ever, continuing to write and record new music that stands proudly alongside their classic material. "Still Here" will be released as a 7" single from Detour Records in September and be available on all major streaming and download platforms. The Circles are still here and they're not finished yet.
