Chuckamuck
Beatles
Somehow Beatles seems to have become more of a term than a band early on: a feeling, a color, a time, a phase, a path, a symbol. That's why the new album by the band Chuckamuck is called "Beatles" and not "The Beatles," even though the band keeps cropping up. The three Berliners seem to have gotten into their fourth studio album bit by bit until the title became inevitable. Rather than indie, post-punk, garage, we hear a psychedelic country band that plays with the Beatles symbols and with other westerns like those from El Pesoburg. It sounds warm and sadly beautiful.
