Cheo (aka José Luis Pardo), a Latin Grammy-winning artist, guitarist, DJ, producer, and songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY, is best known as a founding member of the iconic Venezuelan dance/funk band Los Amigos Invisibles, an internationally acclaimed group celebrated for blending disco, funk, and Latin rhythms. In 'Refresco', Cheo revisits some of his favorite compositions from the band's catalog, reimagining them through fresh arrangements and contemporary production. The result is a dynamic body of work that bridges his past and present musical identities. The project was released as four EPs via Nacional Records: Cheo Goes Brazil, Cheo Goes Latin, Cheo Goes Funk, and Cheo Goes Dancing. Each installment highlights a different stylistic direction while honoring the spirit of his original work.
