Christmas Dreams
Shelflife is proud to present "Christmas Dreams" from Scotland's California Snow Story. Band member David Skirving always enjoyed listening to Christmas albums -- things like The Beach Boys' Christmas Album and Phil Spector's A Christmas Gift For You - but despite this, never had any intention of writing a Christmas record himself. That all changed one evening. Parts of the first track on the EP, "We're On The Way To Christmas" arrived to David in a dream. It was so vivid that he couldn't get it out of his head. The song slowly took shape over the years and was something he and his daughter would sing during the holidays. David still had not planned to ever release the song until his daughter joined a school choir. This inspired his idea to get members of the choir to join in on a proper recording of the track. His daughter also wrote "Shh! It's Christmas Time" along with David and some of the choir members sang on this too.
