Ritmos Queridos Volume 2
This is the second volume of my beloved rhythms: following the path initiated by the first, Luca, Willy and I have played and transformed these traditional rhythms that are particularly close to my heart: the milongón from Uruguay, the guaguancó from Cuba, the merengue caraqueño and the tonada from Venezuela, the landó from Peru... Thanks to our confinement, we also chose to take other paths, such as group composition, free improvisation, or the salsification of well-known themes from the repertoire, counting on the tacit agreement of Maurice, Thelonious and Antonio Carlos to join us on an imaginary tour in La Habana. And since anything goes in 490, we went so far as to play the bolero prestissimo... So, long live the imagination, pack your suitcase in your dreams, listen and come with us. Bon voyage!
