Blood Meridian's third Album, 'Liquidate Paris!' was finished before it began. What began as recording experiments in a moldy basement beneath a crack-infested street in Vancouver resulted in nine unexpected new cuts from the quintet fresh off the highway from promoting their second effort, 'Kick Up the Dust' (V2/Outside). The songs drift back and forth between Lo-Fi Psychedelic-Country-Acoustic solo-efforts by Camirand himself ('She Wears Black, I Wear White' and 'Long Way Around'), to full-band, "in the basement" jams ('The Burning River of Guilt', 'She Calls Me'). Fans of early the ESP folkier releases, The Bob Seger System records and possibly Alexander "Skip" Spence's "Oar" album may well find comfort within the grooves of Blood Meridians', 'Liquidate Paris!'
