All of their own songs, which display a variety of stylistic colours, have a common theme: the different facets of human relationships. The title track Poetic Licence, for example, describes the attraction of a person who always finds the right words in a sensual Latin feel. Together is a tender love anthem. The ballad All Over Again, which was written during the pandemic, is about hope and courage. The samba Kill "em With Kindness" serves as an all-purpose weapon for bad moods. The blues I Play My Cards Right shows the unfair partner the door.
