Baro Drom
Rasna Beat
With hundreds of concerts across Europe - at festivals, theatres and clubs - two official albums to their name ("Genau", released in 2017, and "Nisba" in 2019) and a host of collaborations (Goran Kovacevic, Marzouk Mejri, Orchestrada and many others), Baro Drom is one of the finest acts on the international world music scene. Born out of a passion for the fiery rhythms of Eastern Europe and the melodies of the Mediterranean, the band has developed its own original musical language over the years. This, their third album, features a host of guest artists: Goran Kovacevic, a virtuoso Serbian accordionist; the voices of Emad Shuman (Kabila, OMA) from Lebanon and Marlene Fuochi; as well as the launeddas played by Emanuele Tegas, who also composed an evocative prelude.
