Trauma Cake
RIYL -Shellac, Hammerhead, Black Flag, Nirvana, Flipper, Tad, Melvins, Butthole Surfers In 2003, after seminal Swedish noise rock band Acid Ape disbanded, brothers Marcus and Kristoffer Kinberg started Bacon Wagon. In 2004, they recorded a self-released split 7" with fellow rockers Instrumen. After trying a bunch of guitarists, Marcus switched from drums to guitar/vocals. In 2005, they recorded a six-song CD release, "Savant" (Maduro Recs). Shortly after, Peter Johansson, who played drums in Instrumen, quit his band and joined Bacon Wagon, the perfect lineup. In 2006, BW hooked up with Baltimore noise rockers Dactyl for a split 7" (Hit Dat Recs) and US tours. A couple of years later, the band went on hiatus. Peter and Marcus continued in a new outfit, Hooves Not Hands. Peter later started the punk band Sloar knivar and the death metal band Bastard Grave. Fast forward to 2025, and BACON WAGON finally got their shit together and wrote new songs and is back with a brand new first-ever full-length album, "Trauma Cake," on Reptilian Records.
