April Skies
Indie/alternative rockers, the April Skies, originally formed in 1989. Led in numerous incarnations by guitarist/vocalist Jake Crawford, the band gained notoriety in the early 90s with regular appearances at NYCs CBGBs and DCs 930 Club. After a mid-90s hiatus, the band continues to issue release after release with no sign of slowing down. Their newest release features the band at their most creative and displays their influences (U2, The Cure, r.e.m., and Echo & The Bunnymen) while remaining current and relevant. With hard work and years of sacrifice, they have endeared themselves to legions of fans up and down the east coast and that fan base is rapidly spreading across the U.S.
