Can I Be Your Monkey? (10")

The five songs on "Can I Be Your Monkey?" are rooted in rudimentary punk, but occasionally they also foray into indie rock or grunge. Thematically, they sometimes stay close to their own world or address more universal themes. The opening track, "Teacher's Pet," with its catchy guitar riff, may be about experiences with schoolmates who were the teacher's pet. The fiery "No More Innocent Bystanders," which fittingly opens with a police siren, paints the perspective of someone caught in the middle of a demonstration, while bystanders watch what happens, unaware that it might also be time to take action.
