Anderson, Little Willie
Swinging The Blues
This well-balanced debut album, recorded in 1979, contains mostly originals by harmonica player Little Willie Anderson, who was mentored by his idol, the king of blues harmonica - Little Walter Jacobs. Playing in his horn-influenced style, Little Willie is backed by some of the cream of Chicago sidemen: guitarists Robert Lockwood Jr. and Sammy Lawhorn, bassists Jimmy Lee Robinson and Willie Black, drummer Fred Below and alto sax player Pete Haskin.
