An Horse
Walls
After touring around the world for more than two years Kate Cooper and Damon Cox now come up with their second album. Their debut "Rearrange Beds" not only made Tegan and Sara ask the Australian duo to join them for their US tour, but also had them declare An Horse as one of their favourite bands ever. There could be worse starts. "Walls" now offers twelve songs so powerful and brute in parts, that all walls are at risk to come tumbling down. Coopers one-of-a-kind voice ensnares the sounds of guitars and drums and becomes one with Cox voice, at the same time carrying so much melancholy and sadness, but also the courage to go on. Recorded in Vancouver / Canada and tightly produced by Howard Redekopp the album again displays the duos brilliant songwriting. Contrary to their debut this time some more guitars and a bit of bass crept into the music , which suits the songs just fine. Guitar, vocals, drums. Jut a little "rounder" and more intense than last time around
