Cheval de Troie is the eponymous title of Amphitryos first album and is particularly representative of the work carried out within this formation by the three musicians, all poly-instrumentalists. Each musician has to change roles regularly to be a bassist, a melodist and a soloist.The number three, omnipresent in this album, not only by the homophony with Troy but also by the presence of the 12 tracks (3x4) that compose it.According to the titles, inspired for most of them by great Mediterranean myths, the listener will be able to let himself be lulled by atmospheres sometimes minimalist, festive or melancholic.The music proposed is refreshing, at the borders of jazz or traditional musics.The original and atypical orchestration of this trio allows for many daring combinations, sound combinations with various colours but also singular oppositions, all in a search for acoustic balance.
