Pilot To Gunner
Hail Hallucinator
It didn't look like another album by New York's PILOT TO GUNNER would ever see the light of day. The predecessor "Guilty Guilty" (2012) was released nine years after the predecessor "Get Saved" (2003) and was more a result of the friendship between the band members and producer J. ROBBINS (JAWBOX). Also with "Hail Hallucinator" was actually no longer to be expected, but this time it took a whopping ten years until the successor was finally to appear. The band freely admits that it probably wouldn't have happened without the pandemic and the lockdown. And yet every single one of the albums is a pearl in the independent/post-hardcore universe, peppered with hook anthems, DC-influenced disharmony and harsh, snotty riffs. This fourth album by PILOT TO GUNNER also underlines the great talent of the quartet and is undoubtedly another timeless, no-frills and sweat-inducing rodeo ride for all fans of JAWBOX, HOT SNAKES, SHINER and related bands (LP as colored vinyl and limited to 300 copies).
