1 - DADDY LONG LEGS - THE STRANGER RIDES TONIGHT - (7")
FOLC

"The Stranger Rides Tonight" is a colossal tune in that mix of an harmonica with a classic blues style, an awesome guitar with bluesy riffs in a Lightnin' Hopkins style but with a rockandroller and garage sound, a primitive rhythm and a very powerful howling voice, as only they can do nowadays, which connect them with the more bluesy Flamin 'Groovies (Roy Loneys era) and the crazier Howlin' Wolf. The song was recorded in the last Spanish tour, at GuitarTown Recordings, by Hendrik Rover (Los Deltonos), and the post-production was made by John Epperly in Brooklyn. The B-Side has a tremendous version of the classic from their first album, "Evil Eye", recorded live on a radio station (Born to Be Bad Radio Sant Boi), where is not hard to imagine Screamin 'Jay Hawkins, with Leadbelly on guitar, with Abner Jay making the rhythm, and again the great Howling Wolf on harmonica and backing vocals.
